"Had a problem with my back door not locking properly and called these guys based on the reviews. Locksmith turned up within the hour and figured out the issue straight away. New lock fitted, tested everything before he left, and the price was exactly what he quoted on the phone. Really happy with the service and would call them again without hesitation."

"Predatory pricing refusing to give a quote for an emergency lockout on the weekend, and when I asked what the minimum call out charge was, they said there wasn’t one which was a lie. They asked for £240 including VAT to open (not replace!) a simple lock and couldn’t guarantee it would work that way (?!) and if not they’d have to damage it and replace the lock (and if I understood properly, if I refused at that point to damage the lock, I’d still have to pay the £240 which felt like a potential scam). And that’s for a simple lock/key and an address extremely close to their claimed location… they strongly implied the price would have been as high for other common locks. I was offered a significantly lower price by another locksmith based on a photo, but he couldn’t come for 2+ hours which didn’t work for me and I assumed it wouldn’t be that different; obviously that was very foolish of me. When I refused, they asked for £70 instead, and said call out was only free if they did the work. Which would be their right, except no sentient being with even the most primitive understanding of the English language could have misunderstood my question as anything but asking what the cost would be if I disagreed with their quote. Even if they somehow misheard, the spirit of the question should have been obvious, because why would anyone ask if their prices are ‘all inclusive’ when they haven’t actually been told any price at all? It is obviously both unethical and personally unwise to financially support a company with pricing tactics such as this, and I’d strongly encourage anyone to avoid them for the greater good and the good of their wallet. I fear I might have made the world a worse place by agreeing to pay that £70. I reluctantly still give them 2 stars because the locksmiths were polite and did nothing wrong themselves (except following company policy and showing a relative lack of free will), and more importantly because they did come quickly (~35 minutes as agreed) while several supposed 24/7 ‘30 minutes or less’ services said they couldn’t come for hours or at all. So if you want to be moderately ripped off rather quickly and quite politely, I can definitely recommend them."
